INTRODUCTION TO THE SERIES: The Secret Code of Your Soul (28 Lunar Mansions)

Do you know your Chinese zodiac sign? You might think you're a Tiger or a Horse, and sometimes wonder why that characteristic doesn't quite fit you. PART 1: LUNAR RULER No. 18 – ROOSTER (Pleiades)

When you love the spotlight, but can't stand the rules.

Element and Polarity: Yang Metal (+).

General characteristics and strengths: If your soul essence is the Rooster, you are a born sovereign, leader, and chieftain. In any life situation, you automatically desire to seize all power into your hands and always play first fiddle. Your enormous weapon is speed of judgment – you assess and solve all problems immediately and act lightning-fast, even in areas where you have no prior experience. From the first minute of meeting you, others sense power and absolute authority. You express your opinions sharply, briefly, and most aptly.

Weaknesses and shadows: While the desire for absolute power constantly keeps you in tension and supports your inventiveness, it is also your greatest shadow. As soon as you find yourself in a situation where you lose the ability to command, you uncompromisingly fall into complete apathy. On a desert island, you would most likely not survive at all. Submitting to others is physically impossible for you – you will only do so out of the utmost necessity. For life, you unconditionally need situations where you dictate terms without any compromises or concessions.

Love and intimacy: Here, for Roosters, feelings and seriousness are set aside. In love life, you are highly superficial and frivolous – you fall in love incredibly quickly and fall out of love even more easily. You clearly prefer casual flirtation over marital bonds, and your life is certainly not burdened by old-fashioned customs such as deep devotion or faithfulness. Your desire is simple: to have foolish thoughts and have fun.

• Men (Roosters): You like to boast frequently about your strength and advantages. If you are not sufficiently busy in life and do not realize yourself, for example, in art (where you logically expect enormous success and appreciation), you very quickly become a classic Don Juan, who is firmly convinced of his own indispensability for the female gender.
• Women (Roosters): Without a rich emotional life and the enthusiasm of others, you literally languish. You devise the most refined mischiefs just to remain the center of male society. You are certainly not quiet and obedient guardians of the hearth, but dazzling lionesses of social life, whom other women either secretly or quite openly envy.
